Hi everyone, I was found as a stray and my owners never came to claim me. The staff at the shelter decided to name me Benji and put me up for adoption so that I could find my forever home. It's tough out there on the streets for stray dogs but I always knew that there was a plan out there for me and this is it! I am a really nice and gentle boy, most of the time I just want to sit by your feet and have you rub my belly. Since I was a stray the staff does not have the information on me that they usually do. If you have a another dog at home it would be a good idea to bring them here to the shelter so that we can meet to see if we would get along together. I am a really good boy and just want to please. A really nice lady took me home for one day to learn more about my personality. That night I met a big Labrador mix and a smaller collie mix. I was very submissive! I also met a cat and just stared at him and tolerated him as long as he stayed away from me. I didn't like the cat coming too close to me. Maybe I have never met a cat before. I slept in the porch that night and I marked a few times so neutering me will probably help with that. I did wait until I was let out to go potty. There was the occasional howl and bark during the night but I was there for just one day and wasn't used to being there. I am just a big baby and am very affectionate! Sudden, loud, or unfamiliar noises did scare me a little so I just need some time to get settled in. I am not neutered but I have been micro-chipped, vaccinated and treated with frontline. Please come take the time to get to know me, I would love for this home to be my last!!
